Obsidian Entertainment recruits, and I am very interested in the potential project for which it is intended. Yes, they may be hiring for an inspired project of Disco Elysium. Coming from the creators of Pillars of Eternity, it’s incredibly exciting. Now it’s not confirmed, but that’s what we know that Obsidian Entertainment works.
The job offer indicates that they are looking for a 2D facilitator for Unity. This is certainly not much information to continue, but it also lists the Familiarity of the Spine as a bonus. This gives us a little more context as to what Obsidian could hire.
The good old Reddit boys determined that this list is for their next title. We do not know too much for the moment, but we know that it is a murder and mystery RPG inspired by Disco Elysium and is currently under development. The spine list makes it likely. Avowed and Outer Worlds 2 will work on Unreal Engine, and Pillars of Eternity uses Unity for animation. This leaves long as a probable suspect.
I may not know much about the title, but I’m already excited for that. Obsidian has shown that they make excellent RPGs. Disco Elysium is one of the best RPGs made, and I am delighted that it inspires another team of big developers. I have no idea when we really see in action, but it’s a game that I will keep an eye.
