If you want to read One Piece nowadays, which is definitely busy for a while. Finally, the manga in Japan has currently arrived at chapter 1043 – a gigantic mountain on stories, story-Arcs and straw hat adventures waits for readers of the legendary manga series. However, while newcomers can be the story “Bingen”, so no chapters have to wait until they have picked up, active readers had to wait for a long time to end some stories. How long? Alabasta: The first big story-ARC

7. October 2000 to 18 February 2002 – 63 Chapter
For many one-piece fans also 20 years later one of the highlights of the mangas: in the desert king alabasta, the straw hats bounce in a final confrontation on Sir Crocodile and its Baroque company. The showdown in the capital brings the heroes to Limit, Zorro must learn about how to cut iron even with a Katana. And Luffy proves exceptionally that he can struggle really clever – with water as a cyrptonite for the sand fruit of nasty sir crocodiles. If you are generous and add all previous islands and adventures in which the straw hats met Baroque agents, this storyline is even bigger.

Skypiea: About the clouds

8th. July 2002 to 8 December 2003 – 66 Chapter
One of the wildest adventure remains Skypiea, a cloud rich, which is dominated by a seemingly invincible despend called enel. He has a lightning devil fruit and is therefore super fast and super strong – but of course he did the bill without Luffy. What results in a brilliant moment and shows that Luffy is the perfect opponent for ENEL:

Thriller Bark: New entry Brook and the zombiessel

29. January 2007 to 25 February 2008 – 48 Chapter
Above all, this little story is important because it brings the undead musician. He can leave his body with his devil’s fruit with his soul and is therefore not dead.

The fish people: under the sea!

4. October 2010 to January 23, 2012 – 51 Chapter
The reunited straw hats visit the home of the fish people and mix there a few villains. This can be summarized as plump because it is also very simple: This ARC emphasizes mainly how much stronger Luffy, Zorro, Sanji & Co. are after two years of training. But as it belongs to One Piece, the course for future conflicts are already placed here, for example, Luffy talks for the first time with Big Mom – a member of the four emperors who are the strongest pirates.

Impeldown & MarineFord: The most dramatic story

8th. December 2008 to 5 April 2010 – 55 Chapter
The story-ARC of One Piece par excellence: In a bombastic, all-hand-on-deck story, Luffy is looking for – separate from the straw hats – new allies to save his brother Ace. It breaks out of the high-security prison Impel Down legendary rogues of the story. For example, various baroque agents with Sir Crocodile and Buggy the clown. This ARC finally peaks in the colossal battle before the naval ford, which shakes the world physically and in the transmitted sense: after this fight, where the Who’s WHO of the pirate world mixed, nothing more as before. This also ends in a two-year time jump for the events of One Piece.
