Sony is working on compatibility of old PlayStation devices with PS5

Sony has applied for registering a new patent, which indicates that the company is working on ensuring compatibility of old PlayStation peripheral devices with PlayStation 5.

The patent was framed on June 30, 2022, Sony Interactive Entertainment is called Systems and methods for converting outdated code into updated code. It includes a scheme that depicts old PlayStation peripheral devices, including the PlayStation Move, Eyetoy, PlayStation Mouse, PSP Go and others controller.

The PlayStation Move controller was first released in 2010 and is a movement controller that was developed to compete with the Nintendo WII and Xbox Kinect controller. Controllers are compatible with PlayStation VR, but the PlayStation VR2 headset will have new controllers.
